Dental Insurance

At Innovo Dental & Implant Studio, we understand that despite our reasonable prices, navigating the financial aspects of oral healthcare can still be difficult for budget-minded individuals and families. That’s why dental insurance is such a valuable tool, whether it’s purchased independently or obtained through an employer! Our dental office is happy to help patients and families navigate their available coverage and maximize deserved benefits. By being in-network with many PPO plans, Dr. Rattan and Dr. Sandhu is able to make high-quality care more accessible to the Tracy, CA community at large.

How Does Dental Insurance Work?

Most importantly, dental insurance is based around prevention. Essentially, this means that patients receive the most benefits concerning services that are specifically designed to help patients minimize and avoid serious dental problems later down the road, such as professional checkups and cleanings. This is a definite contrast when compared to medical insurance, which is designed around providing benefits to patients who are experiencing severe illnesses, traumatic incidents, or other unexpected calamities.

What Does My Insurance Plan Cover?

In most cases, patients can expect their insurances to offer this benefits breakdown or a system that is extremely similar:

  • Preventive services like checkups and cleanings (up to two per calendar year) are covered at 100%.
  • Minor restorative services like root canal therapy and tooth-colored fillings receive partial coverage at around 70-80%.
  • Major restorative services like dental bridges, dentures, and crowns receive partial coverage at around 50-60%.

We strongly encourage you to confirm your coverage with the insurance company before committing to any proposed treatment plan. In fact, the Innovo team can lend a helping hand with this process by reaching out to your provider themselves for clarification.

What’s the Difference Between In-Network & Out-of-Network Dental Insurance?

Like we said above, Innovo Dental & Implant Studio is an in-network provider for many PPO insurances.

What does this mean, though? When a dentist like Dr. Rattan and Dr. Sandhu is in-network, he or she has agreed to accept the insurance company’s negotiated rates for a wide variety of different oral health services. Because practices cannot alter these prices or charge more, visiting an in-network dentist is typically the more affordable option for patients and families.

Our Tracy, CA team is also happy to help patients with out-of-network insurances file claims for reimbursement so that they can still access their much-deserved benefits. In many cases, this process can result in prices that are very comparable to visiting an in-network provider! If you have further questions about dental insurance or would like to schedule a first appointment, don’t hesitate to contact us.
